Stadtmuseum Dornbirn

Stadtmuseum Dornbirn

The Dornbirn Municipal Museum is situated in a 200-year-old patrician house directly on the central Market Square. On three stories, a broad selection of exhibit objects and works of art reflect back on important chapters of the city’s history. Another historical topic focused on is everyday life in this key business and industrial community in the Rhine Valley.

Special exhibitions and events dealing with regional, cultural-historical and contemporary themes nicely complement the permanent exhibition. In addition, the museum maintains an internationally significant archive of textile samples and patterns, with more than 300,000 items, which can be accessed for research purposes.
