The summer toboggan run is the perfect destination for a day trip – with or without the kids. It’s a great hike to the Gapfohl valley station from where the tobogganing fun starts: a lift pulls toboggans and passengers up the slope who then ride the toboggan run through a beautiful forest path back to the valley. Visitors speed 800 metres through many bends, jumps, bridges and tunnels. Jump on to the toboggan and let the fun commence!
Summer Toboggan Run
It’s not only the magnificent mountain landscape that makes the Laternsertal special, the summer toboggan run is also a tempting attraction for anyone who loves a thrill. Good news for those preferring a slower pace: the brake lever puts the tobogganists in control of their own speed. The headwind is a pure relief on hot summer’s days and the breathtaking alpine panorama at 1,250 metres is simply unbeatable. That means that tobogganing is always a great thing to do in the mountains, even in summer.
The summer toboggan run is located directly next to the Gapfohl valley station and can be reached either by foot or by car. Children from eight may ride alone, children from three go free with the adults accompanying them.
