This modern structure was built under this motto in 1999. The art collection is exhibited in one half of the duplex building, the founders/sponsors live in the other half. The Rohner Private Foundation was established in 1996 by the businessman Alwin Rohner and his family as a private institution for promoting cultural subjects and concerns. The museum houses a permanent collection of works by Vorarlberg artists from the 18th century to the present day. It also puts on events such as special exhibitions of renowned artists related to the art history of Vorarlberg.
The exhibits on four floors include works by Rudolf Wacker, Oswald Baer, Herbert von Reyl-Hanisch, Hubert Bechtold, Albert Bechtold, Alexandra Wacker, Edmund Kalb, Paul Renner, Herbert Albrecht, Stephanie Hollenstein, Tone Fink, Angelika Kauffmann, Hanno Rhombert, and many more. The art works exhibited are meant to relate to one another without regard to any time frames. A restrained contemporary architectural style emphasizes these interrelationships.
