Altes Kino

A stage for every artist, an audience for every band, a space for every occasion. The Alte Kino Rankweil has long made a name for itself among fans as an interesting location for cultural events. It stands for versatility and variety – a fact that’s undoubtedly reflected in its programme, which ranges from readings to rock concerts. With its multi-faceted cabaret, concert and summer open-air performances, the Alte Kino attracts culture and music fans to the market town of Rankweil from across the entire three-country region. Originally founded as a meeting place for young people in 1987, the venue has today developed into one that is highly important to the local culture scene. So it’s all the more fascinating that the entirety of events that are staged at the Alte Kino are organised by a very dedicated group of 30 volunteers.
